Todd Chrisley is explaining why his wife Julie Chrisley decided to skip a press conference to promote their release from prison.
The 57-year-old reality star and his daughter Savannah appeared at a press conference on Friday (May 30) in Nashville, Tenn.
The Chrisleys were just issued full pardons by President Donald Trump following their criminal convictions several years ago. The reality stars had been serving time in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion, after being convicted in 2022. Todd was scheduled to be released from prison in January 2033 and Julie was scheduled to be released in October 2028.
“I want to thank every person that has prayed for us and stayed in the fight and that fought for the truth to come out,” Todd said at the press conference.

E! Online reports that Todd addressed Julie‘s absence.
“Julie—who is a wonderful, decent, God fearing woman that I am blessed to have been married to and been with for over 30 years now, an excellent mother—she’s at home with Chloe right now,” Todd said. “Chloe will not let her go. We’re blessed to have our family back.”
Chloe is the biological daughter of Todd‘s son Kyle Chrisley, but Todd and Julie adopted her in 2016.
