Lady Gaga is now an Emmy winner!
On Tuesday (May 20), it was announced that the 38-year-old entertainer won the award for Outstanding Music Direction at the 2025 Sports Emmy Awards. She won the award for her performance of her Top Gun: Maverick song “Hold My Hand” at the 2025 Super Bowl earlier this year.
With this win, Gaga is now just won award away from achieving EGOT status.

This new Emmy joins Gaga‘s 14 Grammy awards and her Oscar, which she won in 2018 for her song “Shallow” in A Star Is Born. She now just needs to win a Tony award to officially reach EGOT status.
Back in February, Gaga performed “Hold My Hand” on Bourbon Street in New Orleans as a tribute to the victims of the New Year’s attack, which left 14 people dead. The performance aired right before kickoff at the Super Bowl.
At the 2025 Sports Emmys, Gaga was nominated alongside “Evolution of the Black Quarterback,” “The Lionheart,” “Noche UFC: For Mexico, For All Time,” and “The Turnaround.”
